NaNoWriMo 2018 has officially started! The story, or rather stories I’ll be working on are Humanoid and Mortiferous (Idiosyncratic Capsules #2 & #3). I got a rather slow start, but I’m trying to not let it get me down! I’m debating whether or not I should post this story on my Wattpad account so you can read it while I write it. Let me know by commenting or voting on my story on Wattpad.
Humanoid (Idiosyncratic Capsules #2)
The metropolis city of Nickby is on the brink of chaos. With fear of a strange virus making citizens violently morph into monsters, Emerald pride in hiding, and the mysterious disappearance of the mad scientist Dr. Upton, the watchmen are doing everything in their power to control the situation. The captain of the watchmen, notoriously known as The Ivory King, seems to have it especially out for Lounge Noir. And “The Ivory Prince”, Ol’x’ander, has taken an ominous interest in Gr’trood, daughter of the missing owners of Lounge Noir. With the Lounge’s past business shrouded in seedy activity, her brother’s strange behavior, and a million good memories held inside Lounge Noir’s walls, Gr’trood will charge head-first into the brewing chaos to save what’s left of her world.
“He was the leader of Nickleby’s Watchmen and said to be the most calculating in all of the Neo North American Federation. As I made my way toward the Captain, I finally understood why citizens called him The Ivory King. The gossip that circulated Lounge Noir made me think it was because NNAF was identified by the ivory of our tags, and Captain Emchenko was being groomed to be the Deputy of it one day. But as I stepped in front of him, there was a numbing frost that crept toward me as if he were breathing on me. I had felt his mind-print before, in a subtler form when I was in school with his son. I realized then, it was his intimidating mind-print that dubbed him The Ivory King. Cold wasn’t the right way to describe it, even though it was cold, but it was heavy too like a block of stone pressing on your thoughts. The Ivory King’s mind-print filled the room. He radiated it into the frequency, and it wrapped around me, making my knees tremble as if I were supposed to kneel before his majesty.”
